Prometheus7 — Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 7, 2026

This policy covers prometheus7.com and its consulting pages, operated by Prometheus7 (Benjamin Horn, sole proprietor), Los Angeles, California. Contact for anything privacy-related: prometheus7dev@gmail.com. Plain-English summary up front: I collect the minimum needed to run bookings and purchases, I run no advertising trackers, I sell nothing about you to anyone, and your project data is handled under contract — not by this policy's marketing definitions.

1. What's collected, and why

Data When Why Kept
Name, email, company, website You book a session or buy a service To deliver the engagement, send confirmations/reminders, and maintain your private status page For the engagement + business records
Purchase records (product, amount, timestamps, Stripe session/customer IDs) You pay Fulfillment, receipts, accounting, guarantee claims 7 years (tax records)
Payment card details Never by me Processed entirely by Stripe (stripe.com/privacy); card numbers never touch Prometheus7's servers Per Stripe
Progress notes on your engagement During an engagement Shown on your private, token-protected status page For the engagement
Standard server logs (IP, user agent, pages requested) Any visit Security, abuse prevention, debugging Rotated on a short schedule
Emails you send me You email To respond and keep an engagement record Ordinary retention

Not collected: no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, no social pixels, no sale or sharing of personal information for advertising, no profiling. Outreach emails I send to businesses use publicly listed business contact addresses and always include a working opt-out.

2. Client project data is different

Documents, databases, and exports you provide for an engagement (audits, knowledge assistants, Knowledge Engine setup) are confidential client materials governed by your service agreement and NDA, used solely to perform the engagement, never used to train anything for anyone else, and deleted from my systems on request after delivery. The Knowledge Engine product runs on your own machine; its normal operation transmits nothing to me.

3. Who data is shared with

Only processors needed to operate: Stripe (payments), my email provider (correspondence, confirmations), and my hosting provider (the server this site runs on). Each receives only what its function requires. Data is disclosed beyond that only if the law requires it.

4. Your rights

Email prometheus7dev@gmail.com to ask what I hold about you, correct it, delete it (except records law requires me to keep, like tax records), or receive a copy. I honor these requests for everyone, not only where a statute compels it, within 30 days. California residents: the CCPA's core rights (know, delete, correct, non-discrimination) are honored as above; I do not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms, so there is nothing to opt out of.

5. Do Not Track; cookies

The site runs no tracking, so a browser "Do Not Track" signal changes nothing — there is nothing to turn off. The only cookies/storage in use are functional (e.g., Stripe's checkout session).

6. Security & retention

Data lives on access-controlled servers; payment flows are TLS end-to-end; status pages are protected by unguessable tokens; panel access is key-authenticated. No system is perfectly secure — if a breach affecting your data ever occurs, you'll be notified as California law requires.

7. Children; changes

The services are for businesses and not directed to children under 16; I don't knowingly collect children's data. Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a new effective date; continued use after that constitutes acceptance for future interactions.
